This page presents maps and photos of not only the 47 km Elora Cataract
Trailway but also a map and photos of an on-road link between the Elora
trailhead and the Kissing Bridge Trail. The link is merely 10 km in length, but
easily gets you from West Montrose (Kissing Bridge trail) to the trailway
in Elora.
First the link information.
10 km paved road link between Elora and Kissing Bridge Trail
Kissing Bridge trail crosses Middlebrook Rd
N43.59584 W80.48059
entire route follows Middlebrook Rd no turns
interesting structure
vista view of Grand River valley
road changes to David St. W. .. stay on it and cross the Irvine River bridge & gorge
4 th block, turn right on Melville St. and find the church located on Church Street ... yes, it is me
Okay, now you are in Elora after a simple 10 km cycle from the Kisssing Bridge
trail. Now we have to get you to the actual GRCA trail and eventually Cataract.
Head north along Church Street and at the end you will find a stonedust trail
running behind a school. Easy now, just stick with the stonedust trailfor a km
or so and you will reach the official trailhead at Gerrie Road. Not well marked
on the road, so easy to miss.
